Aspaatere Indigenous Cultural Festival

Aspaatere is a symbol of resilience to the Ga people of Ghana. This name perfectly fits into the goal of the festival; to consolidate the resilience of our heritage! 

AICF2022 is a 3-day grand cultural festival set to provide the single stage where the unique cultural heritage of all the 16 Regions of Ghana will be portrayed in detail to the world; our delicacies, clothing, artifacts, language, history and tourism potentials at the heart of the capital, the Historic City of Accra! AICF2022 is your perfect heritage indulgence and December experience in Ghana. Key events lined up include: Highlife night with the music legends like Pat Thomas, Bessa Simons and Okyeame Kwame; Aspaatere night market, Street Parade, Bonfire night, Local Games, Food Bazaar, Art and Craft lessons and more! At AICF2022, you will learn about Ghana and explore the hundreds of local products. 

There will be elegant displays from other countries’ cultures, courtesy their embassies here in Ghana. The festival is being organized by Sankofa Heritage Productions (SHP), an indigenous Ghanaian company, influenced by the principles of responsible tourism in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Ghana Tourism Authority, National Commission on Culture, Ga Traditional Council, University of Education Winneba School of Creative Arts and Ghana Culture Forum. SHP participated at this year’s Luton International Carnival in the UK and Aboakyir (deer hunting) festival in Ghana. Explore with us for sustainable culture in Ghana.
